4.3 Filter

SteeringCubes can be smoothed by a median or average filter during creation, or post-creation. Typical filter settings to create a Background SteeringCube from a Detailed SteeringCube are: Median filter with stepouts: 3,3,3, or 5,5,5, or 3,3,7 (to emphasize smoothing in the vertical direction).

Select the input SteeringCube and, optionally, the sub-volume to process. The median filter stepout settings are defined in samples, regardless of sampling rate. Batch jobs can be processed on a single machine or distributed over multiple machines.
